The store chat is run by HeliumDeploy (the operator) for the stores that install it. Plain words, for the store owner and for the shopper.
If you run the store
- What it does. A chat on your storefront where an assistant answers shoppers from your product catalog, and where they can ask where an order is or ask for you. When a shopper needs a person, the conversation is emailed to you and you reply by email.
- What it stores. Conversation transcripts; a copy of your product catalog and what you teach the assistant; order lookups only when a shopper gives an order number and the email on that order. Never card numbers or passwords.
- Where it runs. Anthropic for the model and the transcripts, Railway for the relay, Resend for email. Your store's Shopify access token is kept on the relay and used only to read your catalog and look up orders.
- Deleting. Email emilio@heliumdeploy.io: we remove your store, its catalog, its transcripts and its token.
If you're shopping
- What it does. You're chatting with an assistant that knows this store's products. It's not a person; it can hand you to one, who replies by email.
- What it keeps. What you write in the chat, and the pages you looked at on the store, so the assistant knows what you're asking about. Your order is looked up only when you give the order number and the email on it. Don't type card numbers or passwords; the chat never asks for them.
- Who sees it. The store owner, and HeliumDeploy, which runs the chat. Anthropic processes the conversation to produce the replies; Resend delivers the emails.
- Deleting. Email emilio@heliumdeploy.io with the store's name and roughly when you chatted, and the conversation is removed.
